Fly Fishing For Smallmouth Bass on the Susquehanna River

Saturday, August 5th, 2023 - 7:00am

Date: August 5, 2023

Time: To Be Determined

Location: Dauphin, Pennsylvania

Price: $275 per person

Join Wild East Outfitters for a full-day guided float trip on the Susquehanna River for smallmouth bass. The Susquehanna River is one of the premier smallmouth bass fisheries in the United States. The bass habitat on the "Susky" is hard to beat and the scenery is top-notch.

August 5th falls right in that window of one of the most prolific hatches on the Susquehanna River. Late July into the first couple weeks of August generally kicks off the White Fly hatch. The white fly hatch generally starts late in the evenings around 7:30-8:00 pm and it generally brings every fish in the river up to surface feed. Due to the nature of this late evening hatch, we usually start fishing later in the day and fish into the dark.

With four boats booked for a total of 8 people fishing in drift boats with our guides Wild East Outfitters will donate 1 Full Day Guided Drift Boat Trip to the Ridge and Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

We'll have a place to stay after the float if you don't want to take that long ride home after fishing all day.
