Annual Musconetcong River Cleanup (self cleanup)

Musconetcong Watershed Association is seeking volunteers to help with its Annual Spring Cleanup Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 9 AM–12 PM. Free BBQ to follow!

Come join the RVTU crew in support of the Musconetcong Watershed Association's annual river cleanup. Each year, more than 300 individuals from all walks of life participate in cleaning up the river, the banks of the river, and local roads where trash ultimately runs into the river.

A haul from Stephen's State Park, a 55 gallon poly drum, wiffleball bat, 8-track tape, and numerous bottles and cans.


RVTU will meeting at Sand Bar Park in Hackettstown, NJ at 9 am. Sand Bar Park can be accessed just north of Route 46 from Willow Grove Road on the right. Google Maps calls the location Alumni Field.

Coffee, donuts, trash bags, t-shirt (while supplies last), and gloves are provided. 

A BBQ will be available for participants at the River Resource Center in (10 Maple Avenue, Asbury, NJ) following the cleanup to thank everyone for their hard work!


Wear old clothes and just bring yourself. If you are willing to remove debris in the river wear waders.
