  • 100–150 cfs – Low and clear, fish stealthily.
  • 150–350 cfs – Best flows for fishing; wade with caution.
  • 350–500 cfs – Treacherous wading.
  • Over 500 cfs – Tough conditions; avoid wading.

Pequest River

  • Below 50 cfs – River too low.
  • 50–100 cfs – Tough fishing; don’t wade.
  • 100–150 cfs – Low flows.
  • 150–200 cfs – Best level for fishing.
  • 200–250 cfs – Good flows; wade with caution.
  • 300+ cfs – Fish banks/slower water; wade carefully.
  • 400+ cfs – Do not wade.

South Branch River

  • Below 40 cfs – River too low.
  • 40–75 cfs – Low and clear, fish stealthily.
