RVTU March Membership Meeting
Our speaker will be Jeff Gensheimer, a flyfishing guide with Wild East Outfitters will be giving a presentation on Shad fishing using both conventional and fly tackle. Jeff has extensive knowledge of the resident and migratory species of fish that share his home waters of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers. He enjoys chasing after stripers, but there's no denying his first love - the anadromous American Shad. Once the Shad trees bloom, there's no better way to spend time on the river than a noble fight with these (underappreciated) fish. Jeff's love for fly fishing and the almighty shad result in a natural confluence of those passions: targeting shad on the fly.
Shad fishing on the big D is a Jersey rite of spring. If you've never done it before and are curious or just want to up your game this is a must-see presentation!
