Local Leadership

The Ridge & Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited is an all-volunteer conservation nonprofit working to care for and recover rivers and streams and the trout that call them home. Working with TU staff and community partners, we bring people together to make our trout and salmon fisheries stronger, our water cleaner, and our communities healthier. Join us and be a champion for your rivers and streams.

If you have the interest and time to make a deeper commitment to our local conservation and education work, we’d welcome you on the board or one of our many committees. To get started, connect with a RVTU board member at one of our monthly gatherings or upcoming events, or contact us to learn more.

PRESIDENT
Jim Kinney
Califon

Jim have been fishing as long as he can remember.  Jim’s earliest fishing memories include winter flounder and fluke fishing with his father and brother in a cartop rowboat in Shark River.  Jim’s first fly fishing experience was in wild brook trout streams of northern Michigan.  That was 30 years ago.  While Jim enjoys many types of angling, in both fresh and salt water, he has a special passion for fly fishing.  Especially dry fly fishing for wild and native trout.  Jim initially joined Trout Unlimited to do his part to help improve and protect my beloved wild and native trout streams.  While that opportunity to serve is rewarding in its own right, what Jim values most about my TU experience is the many lifelong friendships that he has made in being part of this community of like minded anglers and conservationist
