Participation at the Monthly Fly Tiers Roundtable Keeps Growing 3-10-16

On the first Tuesday of the month, RVTU hosts a fly tying roundtable where fly tiers of all levels particpate.  What started as a small gathering has now turned into an event where over 20 people attend on a regular basis.

Usually at our roundtable, an instructor demonstrates how to tie a few fly patterns that will be effective for the upcoming weeks if not months.  This month Tim Flagler from Tightline Productions participated as the instructor.  Tightline Productions also has their own Youtube and Vimeo channels.  Thanks to Tim for teaching this month.

One of the nice things about this roundtable is that experienced members from all walks of life help others get started in fly tying.  This includes demonstrating fly tying techniques, where to find good fly tying materials, and where to get the right tools.

We hold our roundtable at the Independence Fire House in Great Meadows, NJ.  Regardless of your knowledge and experience, stop by and participate!

P.S.  Special Thanks to Chapter President Fredy DeLeon for putting the volunteer effort that was behind growing this event.
