Annual Musconetcong River Cleanup 4-16-16

On Saturday April 16th 2016, members of Ridge and Valley TU participated in the Annual Musconetcong River Cleanup sponsored by the Musconetcong Watershed Association.  The Musconetcong River flows southwest for approximately 45 miles from the Lake Hopatcong Dam to the Delaware River.  Stretches of it have been desiginated for "Wild & Scenic"protection  by the federal government.  It also forms the eastern border of Warren County, NJ which is Ridge and Valley TU's home base.

Volunteers from different organizations picked different spots along the river to cleanup.  Ridge and Valley TU cleaned the stretch of the river at the Newburgh Rd Bridge in Hackettstown.  About 12 members showed and each one had no trouble filling a trash bag with litter.  Great job guys!
